Welcome to the KwaZulu-Natal Planning & Development Commission

On 26th July 2007 the MEC for Local Government, Housing and Traditional Affairs approved:

1. The rationalisation of functions currently performed by the KZN  Planning and Development Commission (KZNPDC) and the Private Townships Board (PTB);

2. The re-assignment of the Removal of Restrictions Act functions, presently performed by Private Townships Board (PTB), to the KZNPDC; and

3. The re-appointment of the current membership of the KZN Planning and Development Commission for a further term of office ie. from 8th November 2007 for a period of 3 years, or for a reduced period, should the current legislation be reviewed..
